South Bank $74.88 Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. South Bank is an area of London, England located immediately adjacent to the south bank of the River Thames. It forms a long and narrow section of riverside development that is within the London Borough of Lambeth and partly in the London Borough of Southwark. It developed much more slowly than the north bank of the river due to adverse conditions, and throughout its history has twice functioned as an entertainment district, separated by a hundred years of use as a location for industry. Change to the current use of the South Bank began in 1917 with the construction of County Hall at Lambeth and the Festival of Britain in 1951 redefined the area as a place for arts and entertainment. It now forms a significant tourist district in central London which stretches from the Design Museum in the east to the London Eye in the west. A series of central London bridges connect the South Bank to central London, including the more recent Golden Jubilee and Millennium pedestrian bridges. building forms with css

Forms are a very common way of interacting on the Internet and you can see them used around the world – to gather comments, for product registration, even for navigation. The problem is that sometimes we do not use things the way they were intended and when we are "parasites" of the ideal state, problems arise. We, webmasters are not always identified accessibility problems when you code, but people who use screen readers or other assistive technologies. Here are some tips for you to use code accessible forms.
Screen readers are really buggy in their implementation of Javascript to leave it open or make sure it does not interfere with the normal operation to complete and submit a form (as I did below). Certainly not use controls scriptural to change the page. Forms were not designed to be used as navigation anyway – there are better ways to build a nav.
Lets look at some important elements of form that sometimes we forget but should always be included.
The caption tag can hold important information on your form and should always be used to describe the intent of your form.
If you have several distinct areas or groups of fields FieldSets form can come very handy. I can think of several examples of compilations of information in forms but consider it – Billing address, shipping address credit card information. These three distinct groups of information can be organized and displayed using FieldSets. Each fieldset can have its own legend and legends should be these three descriptors group.
The label tag a small label is very important. The label tag wrapped around input descriptors such as 'first' or 'name' and is associated with a form element in your markup using the 'for =' attribute. A label must always be in the very near near its entry to the associated clarity. Remember: you can define the style of a label as any other element using CSS.
Sometimes using a table available a form may cause an interruption of the natural flow of the label / Pair of entries. Just be sure to remember that being too creative with your formatting is not a very good idea. Try stick to the usual way and keep those labels near their form fields.
Take a moment to reflect your objectives before you start coding may prevent accessibility problems. Following the guidelines of the W3C standards for coding is generally eliminate the problems. Standards Code will conform generally better optimized for search engines and screen-readers.
Part II
Building a compact form accessible using JavaScript
So now you know a little more about accessibility Web and application forms, we can put in place by the construction of an accessible compact form. What is a compact you say? A is a compact form that takes less space. It appears that you have entered the field name (name eg.first:) as a value in the entry, but in truth is a label hovering there. When the user clicks on the entry of their data (gives focus to form element '), The label is swooshed off the screen, and when you click from the entry (delete' focus' and is called "Blur"), the script checks whether the data have been registered or not, and replaces the label or leave it off the screen as he found.
Using Javascript for additional presentation is quite popular these days, but here is the caution: always check you can use your Web page with JavaScript disabled. The Firefox developer toolbar that I told you about last month is excellent for this type test.
I really commented the javascript in the example and I hope you will understand what I did. The idea General? – I am using JavaScript to change the class name on the labels of the formula. There are three classes:
regLabel – how it goes display without Javascript
compactLabel – The label appears on the form field
compactLabelShift – have moved the label on the side so it is no longer visible
There is another possible condition to consider that covers the case where both Javascript and CSS are disabled. This opinion is based on the markup and pure as you can see the shape is still very usable and Easier the tab.
