Is it possible to display alternate content for registered users to that of the anonymous nature?

We have a home page that allows the anonymous user to access it. What we want to do is display a page of content if the user is connected, either through a redirect to another page or posting content on the same page. The problem is that if you add an Editor content and use of new webpart small target audience that will force users to connect annonymous. I wonder if there is a way around that?
