British man wedding plans for Indonesian women – how do I go through the immigration process?

I am a British citizen and I plan to marry an Indonesian woman. (She is a corporate lawyer in Indonesia but it's just a side interest Q) – I'm not sure what the current process of marriage to a non-British citizen is in terms of forms / immigration requirements to bring the partner in the UK etc. Can anyone advise me? Not sure that the British government has tightened questions because Im of recent events. As an aside, we are both Christians by faith – understand that Indonesia is a Muslim nation and who knows how policies may have changed? Just thought I'd ask before looking on the net. Jon

For the Immigration Form I-130, what should be done so that the case is solved a.s.a.p? MEDICAL PROBLEM!!!?

I applied for the I-130 form, but the state of my health requires an urgent treatment in the USA. What do I need to do so that I can get the visa as soon as possible in order to enter the USA and get the treatment?

You don’t mention what sort of I-130 classification you’re applying for. If you are in one of the Immediate Relative categories, that’s one thing, but even there, USCIS isn’t really set up to give expedited processing, so your relative could ask the congressman for help, but it’s hard to say how much help that would be. If you are applying in one of the preference categories, the processing times can be very long indeed. Your medical condition won’t be a factor in speeding up priority dates and determining whether your petition is current or not.

The fact that you need immediate medical treatment could complicate your ability to be approved, as you still need to take the immigrant physical and your relative would need to show their ability to pay for your treatment.

You could apply for a B1/B2 visa while waiting to process your immigrant visa for medical treatment in the US, but you will need to show what your condition is, who is going to treat it and where, how long the treament is expected to last and cost. And again, you would need to demonstrate how you will be able to pay the estimated costs.

Finally, if you are turned down for the B1/B2 visa, you could also apply for Humanitarian Parole through immigration. Check out uscis.gov for more information on that.
