I noticed that the input boxes can be changed using JS Injection: javascript: document.forms [0]. Elements [0]. Value = '10000 'Are dropdowns immunized against such attacks? If they are not safe how can they be modified and how can I protect against this (with the exception of server-side validation People)? have been changing values of dropdown lists on my website and placing garbage in my mySQL database, and its becoming very annoying.
The thing you do not want to do is something you have to stop. (Server side validation). Do not trust data from the client. Even if Firefox had not Firebug plugin (which is probably how the data are invalid under download), it is always trivial program to present a form.
