Modal and non-modal forms VB.Net?

What is the difference between the two? and what are their defenition. I was looking on the net but I found a great description

I talked a little about the difference between the two based on my practice and study. modal forms enables you to open another form and the focus is given to this form, the bad thing is that you can not focus or use the form that opens the current active form. Non-modal forms are like the modal forms but the good thing is you can continue working or to switch to another form that you want. Sample code to open a modal form; Form1.Show (modal) / / without modal or "vbModal 'form is opened as a non-modal.

What do your characters throughout the story is the backbone of what your story is about. But that's what they say and how they say it that puts flesh and muscles and bones. Here are some tips on how to add something extra to your dialog.

I am not decrying the narrative, which is essential, but it is far better to show the reader what happens through dialogue your character when it is acceptable to do so, than relying too much on descriptive passages.

Take this example:

Debbie is out of the car and looked at the building opposite her.

"I do not know that I love the look of it," she said as Grant, who came round and stood. "It seems teapot folks like me mam's.

"Because he is old and picturesque, Debbie. He put his arm around her and gave a hug comforting.

But it had small windows and dark wood everything. And he needs a good painting.

Grant smiled softly. "It a Tudor house, where the black wood, and you're right, it does not need a little maintenance. But he has a great character, and it really nice inside.

We could have spent some time describing the building that Debbie and Grant had gone see, but the revelation of his appearance through their eyes, we can instantly what it looks like, and also what everyone thinks, which is a bonus.

Do not forget that your readers imagination. As a storyteller, you can use this to keep them interested, excited and informed about what happens to your characters.

We can also add dialogue to indicate mood or character. Using the example above is could have written:

"I do not like the look of it," she said eagerly.

We know immediately what the mood of Debbie is and something may be hard for him if you like nature.

Similarly you can insert phrases like "he gave a wave dissmissive his hand "or" Mary nervously took the letter and said … "give an indication of the mood of the character and how they feel.

Too, These two examples give the reader a visual image of something happening: a wave of his hand and Mary picked up a letter. Just little things, but the mind can not help motion picture that helps make the whole scene to life.

Another thing that dialogue for us is that it divides the page. Have you ever picked up a novel at the bookstore, flipped open and felt a sinking feeling, because the page was all narrative and no dialogue? Too many strong points can have a negative effect on the subconscious of a reader, to bring the dialogue to bring life and texture to the page printed.

There is no formula, just try to ensure that there is at least part of the dialogue on every page.

A word of warning: Do not get too excited about the dialogue by putting your story if all the characters do is to discuss the price of beef. Unless, of Naturally, the price of beef is relevant for the scenario. History must be developed by what they say, and should connect to the plot. The reader should be aware of what they say, or be placed in a secret, perhaps, or maybe get a glimpse of some aspects of the character of a person who has not been seen before. All things that should be relevant to the course of history.

Take some time to think all this and maybe do some exercises to experiment with one of those ideas you had not thought of before. It will be well worthwhile.
