What is Share Point?
Share Point is a Microsoft product that has many out of the box tools to empower collaboration within an organization between the staffs with their partners and customers. The objective of this collaboration is to empower and increase productivity of end users. In this context, a portal is just one possible practical applications of the term "collaboration".

The main SharePoint 2007 components are collaboration, portals, enterprise search, content management business processes and business forms, and business intelligence. Previous versions of SharePoint Server include SharePoint Portal Server 2003 and before that SharePoint Portal Server 2001.

  • Search – Quickly connect people with the right information. The new features provide a consistent and familiar experience of research, improving the relevance of research results, new features to customize research center, search for people and expertise, the ability to index and connnect and retrieve data from backend LOB applications and BDC, and improved manageability and extensibility. The BI features of Office SharePoint Server 2007 provide Web and programmatic access to spreadsheets published Office Excel, the library of the ODC, the reuse of programming critical LOB (industry) data, and easy development of Dashboards Web-based BI that can incorporate rich KPIs linked data, Web parts, and published spreadsheets.
  • Business Forms – It is built on MS WSS (v3) as a version of MS 2 ASP.NET application. It allows users to fill out InfoPath forms using a Web browser, which forms developed interface user-based Web front-end which is easily maintained by users of a central location to store, manage form templates and login forms multiple business applications. No single sign on, the full search forms.
  • Collaboration – Sharing of information through blogs, wikis, e-mail, calendars. Apply information effectively to your needs.
  • Content Management – Record Mangement document files with the policies and auditing in a central location. It also can manage and integrate workflow, archiving and change tracking. History of SharePoint
SharePoint started as Windows SharePoint Services (WSS) in 2003, which was included as a free add-on for Windows Server 2003 OS product. As long as you have License Windows Server 2003, you are entitled to use WSS. Moss, on the other hand, is a completely separate product built on top of WSS structure with a separate paid license. MOSS 2007 is available in two versions – Standard and Enterprise.

SharePoint solves four main problems:

How can I find a software programmer to write a program for me?

I am a business person and one I use currently dBase / Clipper program written several years ago and changed by someone who does not change completely accurate. Really want to get away from a system based on DOS, because Microsoft will not support a DOS program very long. This program calculates the gas, electricity, produces invoices and reports. In total, there are only four forms – invoices, a monthly summary of a report on mobile 12 months, and a statement meter log. All must be printed on an Epson printer MX80/LQ570 matrix. The bills are hitting the boxes on the preprinted forms continuous feed and are fed down to the printer.

I have programmed in dBASE, Clipper, and Foxbase to live. I want to be closer to your home so that I can see the application and code. What you describe does not seem to hard for me. Sorry I can not help you more. Do not give up, sooner or later, someone here will be able to help. Good luck. Have fun but be safe!

In this tutorial we'll look VB.NET Lambda Expressions. We will see how we can sort the table data using the newly introduced Lambda Expressions in VB.NET. Lambda expressions can be used to instead of LINQ queries, and can make code much shorter. In this example we'll create a table and retrieve data in the table according to the entry user. We will create an array of names, and then retrieve only those that begin with a certain letter.

We'll create this example in a form Windows. We will make a text box for data entry, a button to initiate the call, and a label to display the output. Once we have these controls on our form, we can start coding. We can code everything in our button OnClick event.

First, we initialize the array of strings. Then we add the loop to view our selection:
